How would you mount an LED Light Bar to a round bar rack? (Gamiviti)

I have a 50" LED bar coming my way and they all seem to have the same mounting system: 2 ends where the bases are parallel with the bar.

I've seen some awesome stuff like the labrak mounts but those expect flat edges to drill into.

What are y'all with round bars doing?

I bought some of these: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00852MK30/?tag=ihco-20 for the rear trail backup lights but they won't work for the big bar.

50"? That would mount directly to the mounting plates. May or may not be close enough to the front of the rack though, depends on how high it sits, and which rack you have?

Otherwise, those pipe clamps linked above should do it, anything that fits a 1" round pipe.

@nakman I have the expo right side up. I guess the bar is 51.5 inches between mounting holes. May be too big? Just bought a cheap one on amazon with good ratings.

If it fits in the mounting holes.. perfect! Position doesn't need to be all that exact.

Those clamps are nice! I see it exposes a hole facing the right way.

I'll wait for the light to show up then see if I have tube in the right locations.. might be too wide.

The Rigid (or knockoff) ones are adjustable and you can position the hole anyway you'd like.

Alright so it turns out the light bar is too wide to mount to any bars (it fits exactly inside of the expo rack basket).

I will probably flip the rack upside down (been meaning to do that for a while now), mount some plates and spacers to the rack flat areas so that I can get a mounting point exactly at the edges of the expo rack.

That said.. the ideal position is lower, in front of the rack.. so I may try to get something fabbed.. but it's powder coated.. so that sounds like a bit of a rabbit hole.

@yuji : If you dont mind, Im sure we'd all like to see a picture of what your final setup looks like...with the rack flipped and the light mounted.

Hey Johnny, I still haven't installed.

I'm still trying to arrange for it to be installed.. Needing a guy with more fab skills to build a custom mount to the gamiviti because the bar is too wide for the rack.

I also think we can get a lower profile if it's custom fabbed.

I also bought this exact lightbar, but im still trying to figure out how to mount it forward of my sunroof, any ideas?

Do you also have a gamiviti? It's not going to fit without custom fab.. its too wide! Will post back when my buddy give sit a shot.

This is an early model Gamiviti Expo, flipped, 40" lightbar mounted on the tabs. (The new style expo rack has a sweet 3/4 length or full basket) I've done some other custom stuff to this rack, but overall, it's still the original design. I've been running it for years.

You'll want a lightbar (Rigid or other brand) that has sliding tabs as mounting points, not the stationary post-end style ones. @nakman at Gamiviti will take care of you and the customer service is top shelf.

I have the same bar. Mounted it on top of my ARB bumper with these.

They work great, and the light is super powerful, but I get some wind noise at highway speed and more brick like aerodynamics. :(
I was thinking about doing that, but I have lightforces on my bull bar and I figured an LED light bar would be better suited above the windshield for a wider spread of light versus at hood height.
