How would you mount an LED Light Bar to a round bar rack? (Gamiviti)

@paflytyer do you have a write up on your rig with what all you have done to it? Love everything about it.

Soon.... :)

I was thinking about doing that, but I have lightforces on my bull bar and I figured an LED light bar would be better suited above the windshield for a wider spread of light versus at hood height.

The issue is avoiding the glare/blowback you get from the roof mounted light. I moved my rack back an inch and that helped. Roof mounting is all the rage, but you need to get the lights far enough back that the hood blocks the light.

I can't believe you were able to photoshop the winch line holding you there, Media Partner......

Says the guy who backed into a hole for a poser shot? I wish I had an audio recording of you when you went off the trail at HIH3 and cried for someone to come rescue you, Non-Silver Star Member of this site. Buy a star before you insult me, Cheapie McCheap. And... pony up for the Moab thing. You're holding the group back with your pinching of the pennies.

Is the 80 Series forum aware of what they're getting with you, Tiny Dancer?

SHOTS FIRED

All in jest..... @bluecruiser is a close friend and I've allowed my own son to ride shotgun with him because I trust his judgement and diving skills like few others.

In any case, we hijacked this thread pretty bad...... back to low profile racks and lightbars.

not many dudes I know want to discuss low profile racks. Well, back to regularly scheduled programming. @paflytyer does have a nice bright light on his roof and it looks good too. How's the wind noise/vibration?

Wind noise absolutely increased when I installed the light. I tried to minimize it as much as possible by integrating it into the wind fairing, but it still makes noise. As with any rack, you need a fairing to deflect the wind and cut the noise.

No excessive vibrations.

I would check McMaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#tube-clamps/=vo1tdd
and see what they have. They are somewhat affordable and you should get it next day! As an R&D engineer, these guys are like our bible, they have everything!
