I was able to get it working on a macbook... once. don't know if it was a cable issue or illiteracy with the VM but could never get it to connect properly after that first attempt. There are scanners available now that will read AHC pressures for around $100, IIRC, I ended up springing for a more expensive (more universal) diagnostic tool because I've got some more in-depth issues to deal with on other vehicles as well. Got this for just under $400 ($367 before tax) when it was on sale a few weeks back. Even having to do a system update over wifi when I first turned it on, I was connected and reading pressures within 5 minutes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTBQ1NR4?tag=ihco-20I am not a Mac guy but it is my understanding that Techstream must run in Windows OS on your Mac and then the Windows environment will recognize the cable. But a Mac person will need to confirm that.
My wife was a bit pissed off at me when we got back from our camping trip and I told her I didn't want to unload the car before I could get pressure readings while fully loaded, and then proceeded to wrestle with techstream trying to get it to connect for 2 hours before giving up.
