I've been using a Mini-VCI J2534 for years. Currently on win 10, in a virtual box running XP. I've run into issue, on both 100 and 200 series. Where I can't run or in some cases, can't access certain function.

Using Copilot AI, states; I've a clone 1.4.X masked-firm Mini-VCI.

So I'm looking for the real deal. One with full function. So I can do an AT (A350f, A750f, etc.) reset. Along with full VGRS, AHC. etc..

Anyone have a good recommendation for windows 10 and 11?
 
I'm making my way on this thread to see if this issue has been resolved.
But....
I keep getting b a black window for safe mode boot up
I let it " start with dows" normally and the the VM goes to Abort.
I followed the install directions and am running 32 bit as checked on the VM.
I had this same issue on an older laptop as well.

Any direction please ?
I haven't hooked up to the car yet .

Hey, everyone, I'm able to get the xhorse updater to see the cable, but techstream says it's unable to connect, any tips or tricks? I'm on M4 MBA using UTM and ensured to pass thru the cable.
 
I have Techstream 18 on a somewhat dated Lenovo Windows 11 with this connector:

Mini-VCI J2534 Cable Firmware 1.4.1 for Toyota Techstream, Toyota Tis Cable,Techstream Software​

All seems to work up to the point where I try to read or set anything. This is what I get on the screen. Anyone else get this error?

Anyone use this together with OP's VirtualBox and Techstream download? If so I need to hear more about how to get this all to work, I'm stuck-ice cold stuck

I'm not using it w/ OP VB, but installed 12.20.024 directly on Win 10. It works well. I got the disk with a Mini VCI J2534 cable years back. No need to set the date back or anything special.
For VB you can try this download of v.12 posted on multiple sites: 1.57 GB file on MEGA - https://mega.nz/file/fsEizJyC#aH_2a1hQnX6LpicDS1Bq-gEKVEU57cotd3_QesN2_M0
Please note that v.12 works up to 2018 truck model.

Have you tried the VXDIG NANO? It might work. For me the VIM selector in TechStream reports that VXDIAG supports all protocols while the Mini-VCI does not support some of them including the transmission one.

Yes I see that All's anner an vx manager is techstream- I'm still fumbling about

All things seem as per instructions until the password is entered and is rejected as per attach.
Using an ebay cable which looks the same as the run of the mill type, seen everywhere, (kit also has the CD with program and drivers ect which I didn't try)
I will read back to see if the password thing has been crook for a while.

Were you possibly connected to internet when entering the password? If so disconnect and try again.

Could have been, but since explorer didn't seem to work........
Had another go today, The password works for North America only(I'm in Australia), none of the other regions, the problem really is the last 5 or so years of the series run did the 1HD-FTE diesel(mine is 2005) have electronic injection. A bigger problem being that North America never got the 4.2L diesel at all, or so it seems.
The program runs OK but since the diesel is not on the USA list what pops up is the petrol engine which obviously is of no help..
It was worth a shot but prior to the electronic injection the connection to the ecu's was MOBD not OBD 2 which makes it even more difficult.
neighbours here are doing OK with techstream for their 200 series.. TX for that
 
1. People having issues with the Techstream 18 patches/loaders, reinstall the software using the genuine installer and use this to get a valid key

2.Regarding the VCI cables, I first tried one from AliExpress (v1.4.1 fw clone). It was able to read my 2021 RAV4, as well as view and clear DTCs, but when I attempted to program a new set of TPMS sensors, it failed with a “Lost connection” error. It might work fine for vehicles older than 2019, but in my case it couldn’t even read the VIN or automatically detect the model — I had to select it manually. After researching alternatives, I ordered a VCX Nano for TIS, and it worked flawlessly on the first try.
 
A bunch of the Autel VCIs can be used with Techstream. I installed the Maxi PC Suite which installs the drivers and then under Setup > VIM Select, I can then pick my Autel obd and use that to connect to my vehicle. It shows everything as supported. I haven't experimented much with this because I haven't really yet had a need for the extensive functions.
