note the 4 white mounting holders for the plastic panel clips. The clips stayed in the holes on the car body when I pulled the panels (both sides). You need to use the clip tool and pop them out and put them on the white plastic parts for reinstallation.

So I got the panels back in and of course I find a small plastic part on the floor that I have no idea what it is or where it came from. Any thoughts? Seems to come froM drivers side near the 2nd row seat door. It was in the floor sill wire chase. Probably fell in there at some point.

I believe it's a mounting hole for the seat guide peg

Sounds good but where the hells it go lol! Reminds me of 7th grade shop when I got the lawn mower engine back together and then noticed a poppet valve on the bench...

Ah - check where the bottom pegs on the seat hinges go into the floor - the rod that sticks out from the bottom of the hinge - I believe it goes into the floor pan where they fall (and I don’t recall where)

If you mean the 3rd row seat hinges, there are plastic grommet sort of things for the pins but this isn’t one of those as I have both of those and they are different.

Nah those are 2nd row plugs from what I recall - but been a minute since I replaced the cabin carpet

Edit - I see your second row seats are in, but I just swapped my headliner so my rear was completely out and I didn’t see those plugs anywhere - I could swear they are a second row thing

hmm. :hmm: I've never had the second row seats removed. I found it in the wire chase under the door sill plate. I wonder if the PO had the seats and carpet out for some reason and it got misplaced there then. I will likely never know as I'm not inclined to remove the second row to find out.

I marked the location of all the clips on the front of the panel and took these pics for future reference.

Note the little clips that I'm point to in the photos. Broke one. Install tip: maybe don't do this in the winter...

Thank you so much @kcjaz for posting these pics. I've always wanted to put a small distro block under the cup holders of the driver side rear panel in my lx. Have been curious if that thing can come out independently of the entire panel. Was afraid to yank and pry on things too hard and break stuff. Looks like it doesn't come out? and has tons of air ducting behind that thing! So cool to finally see what is there. Definitely going to remember this thread when I'm brave enough to attempt this!

The cup holders do not come out from the front, you need to remove the side panels and unscrew several fasteners and then they come off.

I do not know about the LX, but on the LC, there isn't much ducting behind that area on the us passenger side.

The cubby beneath there is a great place for a fuse/distribution box.

FYI, on the 2 row Heritage Edition LC’s, there’s one more bolt to remove on each side. Above the cup holder on each side, there’s a bolt behind a pry off cover in the cargo cover humps that would need to be removed to take the trim panels off.

Edit - here's an image borrowed from @Julian73 in the Kaon thread showing the passenger side bolt:

This thread extra helpful in the removal of the rear quarter panel on my 200, thanks to all who posted. I got my 12v 4 gauge out to the back yesterday, hopefully today we go live.

Agreed. That’s where slee installed mine and it’s protected but yet accessible. Perfect place.
