well...if you want to eliminate the threat of moisture than it could just as easily be mounted in a small pelican case. Then just drill some holes in it for the cables and silicone it. As for the BlueSea piece, its typically used on boats. Its all tinned copper and plastic. I'm not too worried about it. BUT, you "could" run a film of oil on the cover and then pour in the silicone to plug up the holes. They are small holes, nothing gaping.

cool. I'm not worried to the point of going with a pelican, but have considered using a tupperware with some holes in the sides (sealed). But stuff made for boats should be fairly water-resistant.

yeah I wouldn't worry to much about getting this thing wet. Submerged? Well thats different. But at THAT height you'll have other things to worry about.

Well time to start thinking about this again. Just got a new toy and I need to give some considerations on how I'm going to power it.

NLXTACY:

Is this wiring scheme overkill for:

- 40" led
- 20" led
- 6 x 4" led's
- ARB compressor
- rear view cam
- inverter
- fridge

Bump
This is a excellent write-up. thanks for all the pictures & diagrams.
Do you have a post on the fridge install?

Well, I'm about to do something a little different now on the fridge side. Obviously I have bigger plans but I need something now for the fridge.

I am getting ready to install my Blue Sea fuse block and was looking under the hood. I saw the cruise control cover and thought "this is perfect, why hasn't anyone else thought of this?!" Then I searched... :bang:

So I'm sure I already read this post before and have no originals thoughts of my own anymore!

Is this the breaker you used? I see cheaper versions but know Blue Sea makes good stuff. Is it worth 4x the cost?

Been following this thread for ideas.
Mine looks nowhere as clean and nice as th OP. I used the top of my fuse box to secure the aux fuse panel. Only disconnect two cables to get into the trucks fuse box. Dont have a dual battery set up and wanted to keep my wire runs short so this is where I landed.
Had I found this thread earlier I might have ran my setup differently.

sorry about that - i just peeked under the hood of an 80. way different set up than mine - kinda funny - carry on

And if you are reading this from your right hand drive landcruiser, the fuse box mounts up well to this bracket

And sits out of the way but visible above the kick panel next to your peddles.
