Wrap a string around the wheel and then cut your leather to the same length.

I have a Wheelskins wrap I believe. Here is a pic:

you could use this to find the Circumference 2πr = πd ,and have a good idea.

π=pie
r=radius
d= diameter

Fxxx geometry... but yeah, that would work too.

Wheelskins makes a good product, I've had a couple of them.
Unfortunately, the spokes on a 60 steering wheel are rather broad
so the stitching has to jump those gaps and still stay tight, which is
a challenge. On both my 60's I opted for the stretch-on steering wheel
cover from vato-zone, the one that isn't stitched and they have worked
fine to increase the grip size...they aren't as attractive though.

X2 on Wheelskins. I have their product on my Tacoma and 4Runner. I was planning on getting one for my 60 but maybe they don't offer one that many years back?

Wheelskins are pretty nice. Pretty easy to install you just need to make sure you get the right width to accommodate the thickness of the grip, as mention by trapper50cal.

If you carry an EDC blade clipped on your right pocket, be careful getting in and out of the vehicle. I hit my clip on the wheel a few times and it put some serrations into the leather.

I have a wheel skins and I like it. The color is even a good match for my interior. One thing I did was to wrap the steering wheel with tape to bulk it up a little. I used a silicone tape, thinking this would provide more cushion, but the leather probably has enough that the additional cost of silicone is not required. Something like pvc electrical tape might work just as well.
new steering wheel.webp

Wheel skins are the way to go. Put one on years ago and when it started to wear through in the odd spot, I just put a new skin over top. A perfect fit and comfortable size.
