A friend of mine thinks he has a flywheel for a 22re, which I need. He is not sure which one it is out of the few he has.

So I need to know, why identifying features does a 22re flywheel have?

I have a spare at home, and notes on the dimensional differences between the 22RE and 22RET flywheels, as I have a turbo flywheel in my truck now.

I do know that the one way I can easily tell the difference between the 22RE and the later 3VZ (V6) flywheels is the 22RE has 6 bolts, the 3VZ has 8.

If it's an RTE flywheel (you're lucky), just use a V6 clutch...

Turbo and V6 clutches are 9 1/4" and 22R/E's are 8 7/8ths... IIRC.

The clutch spline counts are the same too.
