I'm looking at a 97 Collectors Edition with 387,000 miles. I know many will say find the Cruiser with the least amount of miles that you can afford but I prefer higher mileage vehicles, especially considering this is the 2nd owner and he has service history on hand since new. Original motor, head gasket has been changed I believe. Looks like a low mile rig, interior is very clean.. He wants $6,000 lol but I'm thinking $3.5, maybe $4,000 if he'll deliver. What would you guys offer?

1.5k-2k. Maybe 2.5k if he provides a full leakdown test and gets you oil samples. These things will run forever but if the guy wants 6k then he may not be someone thats practical or easy to deal with or willing to haggle out a deal. If its not a diesel its not worth the thought at that price with that mileage unless its had a full rebuild.

Ok I'm waiting for an email from the seller, hopefully he will get realistic and if not I'll just keep searching for another. Thanks for the responce

Thats what i think. I cant justify paying so much for a rig with that many miles. Only thing that has me interested is its close to home and tons of service paperwork!

I would try and chat via phone and/or live w/ the seller… It is so easy to have dialogue via eMail and not get a true sense of each others intentions/seriousness on the matter. This way the seller really knows you are serious and you can can get a better feel from them as well. Just my 2 cents… Good luck, you will love these trucks!

It would be great if it were that easy lol, I'm currently stationed overseas and the seller only provided his email address. I'm having a certified Toyota tech take a look at it if the seller responds

I hear ya… Thank you for service Sir! I and my family appreciate it!

I'm from the north west, LC values seem to be high here. I got a 1992 with 260K miles in rather good shape for $2500… just throwing that out for a reference.

Where Is it located? I am in east ga and would be happy to check it for you just shoot me a pm. Also I bought an lx in 2008 for 7200 with 170k. For what its worth if he has taken care of it 4k would be my max at that mileage

It's located in Senoia, Georgia but I haven't heard back from the seller so I'm going to keep looking. Thank you for the offer however, if you see any FZJ80's in our area for a decent price along the way let me know please!

2 owner, all service records on hand since new. Just being honest here, your trying to justify offering less to a man with a well maintained L/C and YOU will not be able to see or drive It In person. How often do you here of service reccords since new, Its possible Its worth more, Poss. Good Luck. !

Have guy with one locally-sounds just like this with miles/maint/etc/. Lots highway miles- probably one of the nicest around here-
