Answer: more than did the job on our 80.
Some idiot got carried away with his impact wrench
love on our 80. We put new casings on a few weeks back and
I discovered during a brake pad replacement that the lug nuts
were on SO tight that I had to use a 3 foot pipe on the end of the lug wrench
to break the nuts free. That and STANDING on the pipe. Geesh.
To top it off he crossed threaded one of the nuts and I had to break off the stud to get the wheel off.
I swear this is why I hate for others to work on ANY of our LCs.
Sigh...now I have to go get an estimate of costs for the repair
and confront the shop.
What a waste of time. It made a 30 minute brake pad replacement
an all afternoon affair. Now I have to waste gas and time dealing with the aftermath.
I'm pissed.
