That is about my retirement age and who knows what I will be driving then....

10 years for all vehicles. Three years to go. Only 65k on the clock so it will go w/low miles.
Why?
Why 10 years or why low miles? After ten years, I get the itch to see what's new (and car tech comes a long way in a decade). Low miles are because I live (& work) in a small City. But, the roads here are embarrassingly bad so it does take a toll.
Nooooooooo!
Do not not gently into that good night!
Do not give up without a fight!
Rage against the dying of the light!
(And drive a Cruiser to your grave site!)
I would only sell mine to buy another that's newer with low miles. It would not be due to my truck wearing out or anything like that. I know without a doubt at the 180 - 190k range, it's still going to be a very tight vehicle. But, there is a point where selling I will realize the most payback. For my wants and needs, that is just short of the 200k mark. That $$ just goes towards a newer, lower mileage Land Cruiser.
Then repeat.
It's what I've done for about 25 years now with my LC's.
I plan to keep mine until the kids are all the way through school. That should hit in the 15 -20 year Mark.
After that I will purchase a five year old 300 series.
Any Cruiser I buy will need to be about 5 years old before I can afford it.![]()
