Lookin good Dude. Getting ready to do the same in few weeks. What color is she going to be?

color choice

This is the color choice (JPG from CC website ) the PPG number is 653 and is Olive Green, not Olive Brown like it says on the CC site. Olive Brown is PPG 254 and it is from 1977 canadian color ( based on the PPG color chart info) interesting tidbit. The olive green (653) had a color chip on the chart, the 254 Olive Brown no chip ...

Lat night I painted the inside tub with POR15 to get it ready for hurculiner or durabak or something like it. Photos to follow

here is the tub with the POR15 painted on. Took approx. 1/2 quart to do one coat, I wire wheeled the rusty parts, chiseled off the factory tar on the floor boards and the trans cover ( what a pain) and washed the whole insides with lacquer thinners ( can use say explosive!) I brushed on the POR15. woke up the next day and it is solid on hard as a rock!

last one of the POR15. My goal today is to fine sand all the parts and the outside body, replace the caulk at the seams, mask all the windows and other areas. First coat primer tomorrow in the early am before the AZ heat. The weather is perfect for outside painting. I will wet the ground with water to keep the dust down. I could set up a paint booth in my garage but I am just to damn lazy. :)

Stay tuned...

I remeber a while back someone posted this same thing about the paint colors. Is the canadian Olive Brown color available here in the states? Also, anyone got any pics of the olive green? I'm going with this color (one of them anyway) when I repaint and am curious how much difference there is between the two.

Hi and thanks for the encouragement! The Olive Green is the color of the JPG at the top PPG653

I could not get an Olive Brown ( 254) mix at the PPG paint store I went to
