My HDJ80 is in Costa Rica. I am in a remote area right now 5 hours drive (half offroad) to San Jose, my mechanic and Toyota parts.

How far can I drive with this leak? What am I going to destroy if I drive while losing this oil? Is this the diff oil coming out?

Honestly I would say you should be fine driving the distance to your mechanic. Obviously you want to keep an eye on the fluid level in your axle and refill if needed, that is if you have the gear oil to refill the axle.

Your outer seal is bad and prob the inner, you can pop that cap off and change that outer flange seal in prob 30 minutes or less super easy to do. The inner seal keeps the gear oil from washing out the grease in the bearings, some people leave that seal out and just let the wheel bearings lube in the dif oil.

So you have a semi-float rear axle? Don’t see the hub sticking out of the rear center cap area as a typical full float axle. If dem float you may need to get the diff cover opened to remove axle c-clips.
