I am loving it, I don't even have to use my headlights at night because it works so well. If you guys are not demanding night view in your purchase, you are missing out

Yes, what is Night View?

I agree 100%. I’m actually surprised the technology hasn’t transferred over to other Lexus models.

The view of the road is so much more clear through the night-view display than actually looking through the windshield.

Because it so unreliable and super expensive to repair, that's why. Otherwise, it would be everywhere.
Avoid them.

I have these things called eyes, been used for millennia by humans and animals alike.
With headlights on I see everything i need to see and can pick out a troll at hundreds of yards for engagement. If needed I can always switch to real night view

This is what I used last night in your back yard, I waved but you didn't wave back, was your night view not working?

How do you demand a feature when buying a used car?

With street lights these days, I don't need or use the headlights in my FJ62 either. They suck, anyway! :flipoff2:

This is basically the individual equivalent of night view, exactly my point.

And jokes on you, I don't have a back yard here in CA

@Ozymandias ... this is what Night View looks like in an LX.

Interesting. That's.. a little underwhelming, honestly. I guess it makes sense for the era of technology it represents.

Thanks for the photo!

I was never impressed by it frankly. The only value I see in it would be when driving into a campground at night when you would want to turn your lights off to avoid disturbing other campers but still be able to "see" obstacles or hazards. Other than that, seems a gimmick.

I drive by feel, if I hit something back up and try again in a slightly different direction till the obstacle is cleared.

I didn't even know that that was offered on the 100, never seen it on a customers car

It was only an option on LXs from '03-'06 I believe. Never offered on the Land Cruiser. The windshield is EXPENSIVE to replace: like, $1800 expensive if I recall.
