Hi Guys,
I'm rebuilding my swivel hubs and I can't separate the cv from the axel. All the you tube vids show 80's and newer and all they do is slip a pipe over the axel and drop it on a block of wood which pops the axel out of the cv. Ive tried the same technique and it won't pop out. Are 40's different or am I just not hitting it hard enough?

Just got done with mine a few months ago. Slip it in the pipe and slam Pipe down hard on wood. It will come off. Getting it back together is a bit trickier though.
