How do I remove the parking brake handle's leather boot? I was guessing it was just held on by clips and I just pull on it really hard, but before I gorilla it, I wanted to be sure. Thanks guys!

IIRC Wire frame holds it beneath the carper. I believe velcro down the underside ctr seam. Mines been gone for a long time so not certain. A good close look should reveal the secret

What the guy above the guy above the guy above the first guy said. Unzip the Velcro and you may be able to wiggle it out from under the carpet without removing the center console, otherwise easy to remove the center console and recover all the lost change and pens that have fallen underneath. Sent mine to Dallas Custom Steering to have it redone in leather, turned out nice, cost about $100. Had the steering wheel and shifter knob both recovered at the same shop.

Thanks again guys. I'll give it a shot!

I just did this. Here's a picture of the velcro. You can actually still get the boot from Toyota. Part number 46243-60040-CO. I ordered mine from PartSouq. It was only $16.

Thanks for the pics. Did you have to pull your center console to replace the boot? Also, where is this velcro everyone is talking about? Is the entire boot held on by just velcro?

You don't have to remove the console, but I did (I replaced the whole lever due to a dog eating the handle). The velcro is right by my fingers in the pic. It is only about a 2" slit on the front side by the handle.
