Thanks. tonight we put in the coilovers

This week's work.

About 80% done. Still need to upgrade the battery, wire the winch and install the fog lights. Fog lights are on backorder, and I have been waiting 7 weeks for the OME lift. :crybaby:

Glad to see some good work happening over the winter. Great mix of vehicles in this group.

Me, I might have to decide which 25 to drive this year. :bounce: It's nice to work outside again........................no snow in the sunny south. :p

we started looking at making the rear shocks work better and the next thing I knew we had the torches out, the rear was on the floor and we were linking it

That is what happened to my Cruiser and now all I have left is a hood, headlight bezel and a ges pedal :D (but I would cut up another one in a heart beat for the knowlege gained)

Matt

you bastard:flipoff2:

It was such a pretty Cruiser too:frown:

How's about his for pretty? the UPS Gods left a package on my door step today.... I am working on plumbing the steering at the moment. I am converting the low pressure side to -8 (1/2")and the suction line to -12 (3/4") in an effort to keep the pump alive. also I have machined a piston and top cover to make the res (A PSC 1.5 qt.) into a accumulator of sorts. Now I will be able to steer when I am upside down :flipoff2:
power steering 2.webp

nope, not yet...... June from what I hear...

you guys got it good. No projects for me :frown:. I drive an 80

solid axles front and rear
lockers front and rear
springs are already on top of the axle
no shackles to reverse
no U-bolts to flip
disk brakes all around
has power steering
215k miles and 12 years with no rust or rot

all I get to do is drive the thing :flipoff2:

actually the rust comment was a little exagerated. It's got rust but nothing that creates a problem. It's lived it's whole life in NE.

I'm actually in the middle of a project but it pales in comparison to what you guys do. A common issue with these is the rear axle flexes so much that it bends the sway bar links. So I'm making some HD links using 3/16" stock. Probably will just brake something else.
