I understand bout those projects! Hope it's done soon! Well, I hope everyone isn't bowing out caused I've upset you guys somehow. If there's something I have done to erk anyone, I'd appreciate knowing - just in case this is the situation!

So, is EVERYONE out for this? No one attending? Regardless, I will be going to wheel some where!

Hope it's not some type of cold shoulder. I am not trying to be overly sensatve, just making sure! I do understand if it's just not good timing for everyone, lot's going on and the weather is perfect to do outside stuff. I just want to make sure that the initial interest and then the quick drop off of people going wasn't due to me or my personality.

Thanks!

Howdy! No cold shoulder here. I decided to finish the job w/o waiting on the carpenter. This way I save a few $$$ and brush up on my skills. But it will take me longer without another person on the job. And of course, the BOSS comes up and says, "hey, while your at it, why don't you go ahead and.....". All this fun has precluded me from addressing a steering problem on the Piggy, and it ain't wheelin til it's steerin betta. If you end up somewhere other than Wickenburg, then let's shoot for making it in a month or so. John

I appreciate the kind words, as a 'newbie' to the club, I just wasn't sure if I rubbed the 'click' the wrong way or anything. I am just the type who will say the things on my mind, I don't like to beat around the bush - I tend to come right out and say it. This way, no one is left misunderstood or second guessing my intentions. It's just the way I am and just wanted to make sure that the sudden drop in interest wasn't from something stupid I may have done! And I wanted to make sure of that, as I do tend to do a lot of stupid things!

That's the way it works, sometimes lots are ready to hit the trails, other times most are busy. I'm just hoping to be caught up enough to hit the trails over the holiday.:o

I very much would like to do this run again, its been years. This will be a great weekend weather wise for it.

My excitement for the weekend will be heading down to Mexico with 10k Harley Davidson riders for the Rocky Point Rally on my BMW.

As for the club runs the next time you post a run nobody will claim they are going and 20 rigs will show up.

I'm afraid I have to bow out also. The funds for this have had to be spent on another issue. Nothing like having to spend money where you didn't think you had to.

Sorry! :mad::mad::mad:

Ok folks, well if that's an ALL OUT (as in no one is going, or meeting on Sunday morning) then I may alter plans and end up heading to Prescott instead to visit family!

I will have to confirm with my Co-Worker if he want to just reschedule also.

Please post up if you planned on going and meeting @ trail head or gas station!

John

My take on this is that you were way too organized, started to post up too early, so everyone who said they would go had too much time to think about it and it gave life a chance to intrude in everyone's plans. :D

Typically, we don't do it like this in these here parts. We start a few days ahead of time, can't decide exactly where we're going anyway, throw out a meeting spot the night before (usually, Baja at 8 / Gold Canyon at 8:30), see who shows up, and quite possibly change the trail depending on who's there anyways...

Works like a charm every time. :grinpimp:

LOL - well, notes taken, appointments will be scraped and lack of organization should be dismantled. Got it.....I think the next time around will be a short notice and a who knows attitude!

Howdy! This group does seem to have a lot of short/no notice runs, but I still like to plan a couple of weeks out. Hopefully I will get to my steering issues next week. Today's trip just was not meant to happen for me. Yesterday afternoon my son's girlfriend's brother was in a wreck on his motorcycle. The other guy ran a red light. We spent the evening with the family at the hospital, and then we picked up the pets, closed up the house, ran the chores, etc. so they could stay there. It's really too early to call this one, but I think he will pull thru, but i will be a long uphill road for recovery. BTDT. Now we've got to go help with other family/friends that are flying in. John

Sorry to hear about that Inkpot! My wife is/was a sport bike rider, she rode her CBR600F2 until she could not reach the handle bars (pregnant). I hope he pulls through. She, my wife, has been to WAY too many funerals and lost WAY too many friends to start riding again in AZ.

God Bless and God Speed to his recovery!
