FOR SALE is my October 1985 FJ60, White, 242K miles, Desmogged. $4000 OBO
4 Speed Manual.
The rig is in the West Houston area and I would be willing to meet in town or halfway with interested cash buyers as needed.
Overall, it is mostly stock and in very good condition and runs strong. All major systems are working (besides the ones removed for desmogged).
IMPROVEMENTS AND RECENT FIXES
Desmogged - silicone vacuum tubing in use (originally it was CA spec).
Straight piped while I had it in Guaatemala.
New clutch + clutch master and slave cylinders
New radiator
New powersteeing pump
High-security door locks - (a must for anyone that's never known it only takes a screwdriver to open a 60)
Wide angle mirrors
Leather seats from a minivan mounted in front.
Dynamat in the noisiest interior body spaces.
Rear carpet removed and bedliner applied.
31x10.50 BFG ATs with lots of tread left.
Lots of spare parts.
Headlights with relays upgrade - bright - but inconspicuous
AC used to run very cold, but there is a small leak. BONUS: I am including 2 cans of R-12 to recharge the system after the new owner investigates the leak - it is too precious to waste.
Recently replaced shocks
Optima REDTOP battery
LED dome lights
PLUS MANY MORE
It has a few flaws including a hole near the old speaker grille in the dash.
There is some rust just under the rear window glass in the center/under trim, there is some surface rust spots from dings that need touchup paint, plus drivers A pillar where the door weatherstripping meets as well as some spots that need some touch-up paint and some roof areas where the PO had something mounted. It leaks oil in a few spots but doesn't burn any.
I've enjoyed a great 6 years with this rig, it did a great job from Texas to Nicaragua and back as well, but I've got a baby on the way and the wifey says it's time to let it go.
