FYI, confirmed by a few helpful members, if you use any of the Hotmail/MSN/Live email addy's you will not receive subscription stuff.

ever.

Not sure why, but I'm asking members to ditch these and use gmail, yahoo, or something else...anything else...

Problem is on their end...

one of the members tried that...

honestly, REALLY honestly, babysitting a dozen free email providers every time they change their silly settings is a major PITA...many forums simply don't allow them at all...I've had Hotmail in the past, and it was the most irritating of the bunch...

my current Yahoo and GMail accounts are relatively problem free by comparison.

Effective immediately, these domains are banned from registration on the forum. If you log into your User CP, you may find you are forced to change your email settings to a different provider.

Sorry for the hassle.

Woody, According to Microsoft, getting your domain removed from their rejection list is as easy as filling out the form in the link I provided above. Keep in mind that you, as the domain administrator, have to fill out the information (it's only a couple of lines of info.) You mentioned before that a member tried to do it. That's why it didn't work. It would be greatly appreciated by this community if you could take a couple minutes and fill out the form. It would be much easier than making us create new email accounts just to get our notifications back. Afterall, the msn/live/hotmail email service is a very popular service that many of this forum's members use.

Thanks,
Jeff

Well that explains everything. Microsoft is evil.

Do any of you Internet genii know if it's possible to have notifications sent to a non hotmail account which automatically forwards the notifications to my hotmail account?
