Dudes,

I am restoring my steering column and could use some advice on the horn button.. I cleaned it up but not sure if I should leave it the way it is or paint it... Thoughts?

If the rest of your truck isn't restored, it might look out of place.

agreed, leave it - patina adds character

If you can mask it cleanly then I say paint it. If not the give it a coat of clear so it doesn't rust on you after your first water crossing or next sweaty-palmed nervous panicked horn usage.

I taped it off the best I could last night... Will paint this weekend and see how it goes....
