Not sure what these are called, but I made some last night. Pretty cheap to make and they work great. I've looked around in parts stores but couldn't find anything. Sorry about the last pic being a little blurry. Basically I bought some M8x1.25 hex bolts, a few nuts, lock washer & flat washers & a rubber stopper. Drill a small starter hole thru the stopper. Then drill thru with a 3/8" bit. Then counterbore half way thru the stopper with a 1/2" bit. Insert the hex bolt w/lock washer into the counterbore and tighten up. Works great and easy to adjust.

yea but look at his..... they are all chubby like a fat kid...:bounce: :D

and some o f us like to make stuff.....

they look good by the way.

hood bumpers, i think they are something like $7 at the dealer

They're cheaper yet if you go to the pick and pull, find a Corolla or mini truck, and "accidently" have them fall to the bottom of your tool bag.

Good job on the fab work though. Im just lazy.

i like them and they might be the solution to my nosy hood.

I have a set sitting at the stealership right now.

can't wait to level the hood..

why would you level the good? i though 60 hoods were supposed to he higher on 1 side?

I've got new bumpstops from CCOT but I can't seem to level it no matter how much I adjust. Opens and closes better now though.

My hood's been off-kilter for so long I'm starting to like it!:p

glad to know i'm not the only one who's hood is off-kilter. i guess if i ever wash it the water will run off better.

Thats a great idea .... door stops (the ones you drill in the floor) will also work and they already have the hole in them .....

I've got that problem too. I guess it's more common than I thought. Has anybody actually solved it? Mine was fine until the hood came off for the engine rebuild. Since then it's high on the driver side. I've tried adjusting what little bumper stop I've got left but that hasn't made a diff. :bang:
