OK, I know that I am new and stupid. But, I have posted two questions regarding locking down the hood and what (I believe) is at best an OK ebrake on 40's. I have fooled around with the hood latches and think I have come up with a way to insert small locks into each latch. Not going to keep the determined theft out, but certainly will make it tough. Still a work in process. Also, as has been noted before, you will need to switch out the screws on the hood hinges with tamper proof hardware. On the ebrake side I am screwing around with a caliper from a Honda with the Man-a-fre disk (as previously note, not worth the price) with a hydraulic activation that in theory seems to work well. Again, I need to find the time to refine it. If anyone has any suggestions I am wide open. Thanks.

have you checked out these guys ? www.tsmmfg.com they may have something you can use on the e-brake set up. they do custom rod stuff and make the rear stainless braided lines i used on my rear disc brake conversion. good luck and let us know what you come up with.

What is your set up? Why not use the stock transfer e-brake or use rear caliper e-brake? How about the brake line lock? I am always amazed by the lengths people will go to to "make something work" when it is simple and already been done.

Lone...thanks for the tip; they seem to do nice work. TLC...you are absolutely right. When I bought my Cruiser three years ago it had the Man-a-Fre conversion installed. It's become "personal" in terms of making it work. That said, I am going to install a Micro Lock that you cut into the brake lines and it will lock up all four wheels. Looks simple and easy to install. I still might fool around with the disk/caliper just to see if I can get it to work.
