Am I missing anything here? This Duracell (available near me on a faster timeline than Lowes right now) appears to be the same exact spec (eve design factor) as the Deka.

So I sorta have this battery. As least the Duracell Dual Purpose Marine/RV version of it. Go for it, as the Duracell is identical other than a branding sticker that they do all the time in the lead acid market.

I swapped from the Lowe's Deka battery as I was debugging what ultimately turned out to be an alternator issue. Wished I kept going with the Deka as I feel like I core swapped it prematurely and wanted to test the full life of it.

I will always accept any advice from anyone who keeps their wrenches in their organizers... because they're a better mechanic than I.

I appreciate the intel man, looks like I'll have 18mos to work out any kinks.

Last I hijack your thread, but thank you for the write up.. just waiting on a stainless battery tray (holiday spending means SLEE can’t have my money right now, sorry). Thanks for paving the way here

Needs some tidy up for the solar wiring but yeah. Done.
Not sure why the photo attach failed…but I’ll try again. The toggle switch/CB is held down with VHB so won’t short on the bracket but have silicone boots on order for the terminals as extra insurance. Everything is fused anyway.

For that application some pieces of tubbing insulation work better almost completely covering the contacts.
But those nipples can be handy for other applications. Thanks for sharing.

I like the green marks on the negative terminal bolts.
