I have an FJ60 in Brooklyn NY. My center rear brake hose is leaking and now my brakes won’t work.

I need to find and overnight a hose to replace in order to drive home for the holidays! I have one ordered from autozone but won’t come in in time :( anyone in BK that might be able to help or overnight shipping!?!

thank you!

I would just look in their book and see what hoses in stock that may fit. A lot of toyota rubber brake lines have fittings on either end that will accept each other. You could see if they have any hoses that are too short and just link them together. There are many hoses that will work for that application.
Raybestos BH380009 is longer than stock and will work.
I'm sure others can chime in with other alternate numbers that will work

Are the rest of the lines good for the rear circuit? I would inspect the whole brake system to be sure you dont have corrosion or leaks.

I have driven mine with the rear circuit eliminated. This is not wise. If you don't have to go far, plugging the rear circuit can be an option. It is somewhat dangerous, however 80% of your braking is done by the front rotors and calipers.

If it is truly just the flexible hose, hunt all the local parts stores, contact the local clubhouse, hit up the classified section here. I know there are a few cruisers being parted out in NJ. Maybe there is a good replacement there.

there's probably dozens of hose that will work. Stock is around 14.5ish" long, 10mm x 1.0 female on one end and 10mm 1.0 male
inverted on the other. An 84ish Toyota pichup would fit with a couple extra inches. The 1990 pickup is the same. the 90ish 4 runner would work. The front left inner of a FJ80 land cruiser. 96 tacoma rear, literally dozens of hoses up to recent even from other Japanese
mfgs.
