Overview
Offering my 2011 LX570. This is a "no-stories" chassis with a very specific backstory on the powertrain. I am the type of owner who is relatively anal about car care (ceramic coated, consistent detailing), and I’ve spent the money to keep this rig mechanically 100%. The frame is RUST FREE.
The Engine Swap
The original block was unfortunately lost due to a freak mechanical failure (improperly torqued torque converter bolts from a previous owner's service eventually backed out and cracked the block).
Instead of a high-mileage junkyard pull, I sourced a JDM 3UR-FE from ChicagoJDMAutoParts01 (a well-vetted supplier here on the forums) with roughly 75k miles.
• Install: Performed by Renaissance Auto in Cary, NC. Jay and his team are Land Cruiser specialists and know this truck inside and out.
• Status: The new motor has roughly 5k miles since the swap. It is bone dry, runs exceptionally strong, and "no expense spared" was the directive for the install. Jay is available to discuss the quality of the work with serious buyers.
Mechanical Condition
• AHC: Functions perfectly. Cycles through all heights quickly and holds pressure.
• Brakes: Plenty of life remaining.
• Steering: There is a slight "moan" from the steering column during low-speed maneuvers. Jay at Renaissance inspected the rack—everything is structurally sound, so I have opted to leave it as-is.
• Drivetrain: Smooth shifting, 4LO engages as it should.
Aesthetic & Interior
• Paint/Body: Ceramic coated. The main body looks fantastic.
• Front and rear bumpers were resprayed by a previous owner; the color match is a shade off (common with Lexus pearls).
• The roof clear coat is showing its age with some white artifacts (no flaking yet).
• Minor rock chips on the hood/fenders consistent with 215k miles.
• Tires: Cooper tires with decent tread, though they are older date codes with some cracking, they need to be replaced relatively soon.
Why Buy This One?
You’re getting a rust-free 200-series chassis with a powertrain that has 130k fewer miles than the odometer suggests, documented by one of the best LC shops in the Carolinas.
