Well I finally did in and installed the indicator lights I got from MOT and the snorkel I picked up from Cruiser Outfitters. Thanks guys!! Well after putting it off and thinking and thinking I finally made the plunge and drilled the 12 holes in my LX. Everything went fine and lined up perfect, but let me tell you what stress!!! I used the template from Safari to drill the indicator holes with a dremmel and cut-off wheel. This works great but you must be VERY careful to check the measurements because the hole in the template seems a little large for the indicators. I love the outcome!!!!

Damn, they both look sweet!

A snorkel is one of my next mods but let me tell you there is no frickin way I'm doing it myself! Scares the s*** out of me when I think of cutting into sheet metal. As it is now I have to measure things three times so I get it right.

Both rigs look sweet you guys. I'll have to dream for now.

Rob, you wanna help me do mine this month before CM (plus you have the right hole saw :-)? Also, when again are you heading up with your dad? We are deciding to bring the kids (if you saw my post on EP), so we can both have infants there. Hope things are going well!

Installed mine 6 months ago, haven't got a chance to put it into full use yet!!! Look sweet!!=) By just looking at your picture and surrounding houses, remind me of my days in Tucson:)

Rob,

Your rig looks BAD!!

Glad that you're happy with what you got (and you should!:D ).

I believe it should be a rite-of-passage that if you are going to run a snorkel, you have to have the balls to install it yourself. Of course, I say this after being saturated with Tequila at 3AM when I finally got up enough nerve to drill the hole in mine. :flipoff2:

I wouldent drill holes in my wagon when I was tanked.I wouldent be game enough.

MTNRAT HEY! you stole my truck.....running outside to check.

Funny a snorkel is one of those things I wouldn't trust to anyone else...I have trust issues.;)

Nice Hitachi. I have that same one, it kicks ass.

Yes, the Hitachi has been great, hasn't let me down yet!!!

Nice work - how did you get the two nuts on past the antenna? you rig is looking fine!

I guess I have long little girl arms because I didn't have any problem reaching back there from the intake hole...I almost didn't even try after reading posts about the difficulties, but then reached back and got them easy. I am, however, 6'4" and 180lbs so that might have something to do with it.

Thanks all for the kind words.

Amazing! I'll pay you to get to mine :D

Sorry didn't see the post over on EP. I wouldn't mind at all helping you before CM I am giving one to my dad for his birthday and wanted to get that one on before as well so maybe a two-fer day?!?! We are heading up on Tuesday and staying at Montecello Tuesday night and then hooking up with some other 80's (Alvarorb, Willie, Desertdude, Cruiserdrew) and heading to moab via the Lockhart Basin trail early on Wednesday and maybe running something else once in moab. We are staying at the Gonzo Inn in moab also. PM me or I will PM you my phone number and you can call me anytime.
