Hi All, doing the fornt axles on an HJ60 yestarday, I found the drives hub broken. I unbolted the six 10mm bolts, and a bunch of parts fell out. These are Aisin hubs, not Warn. Does anyone know where to get the dial assemply of an Aisin hub? I seem to be able to only find Warn hubs on the web. If anyone has one for sale used, I'd be happy to take it of your hands!
thank you,
Jan

Was the collar broken? alot of those parts are just kind of stuck to each other. You can grab a dial from a mini truck and a sammi. The problem is some of them don't have the raised turn part of the dial like cruisers. I have some extra zuk dials I carry since I have the tall skinnies and the dial is prone to damage. I can also stop by the salvage yard by my house they usually have a good selection of mini trucks for parts. A dial should only be a few $

yep, i have a couple used here... and i am sure Greg and Sheldon have some as well...
or you could go grab a pair off Micheals parts rig...

Hard to tell if the collar is broken. When I opened it up, a bunch of parts, rings, springs just fell out (together with liquified grease from the leaking seals).

Are all there hubs the same for cruisers? I looked at one set Michael had in the shop, and they looked very different, but were also aisin hubs.

What I have is the dial assembly, and when turning the dial the locking mechanism protrudes by about 2 cm, and that's it. Just springs, no housing around them.

sorry for being so unclear about this!

I would like to buy your used one, Wayne, Thank you! If it is not too much trouble, do you have a pic, so I can see if they look the same as mine? I don't want to grab Michaels, I am sure he'll need them, or would not charge me enough :)

The 76-78 fj55 for the long birfs are different. The short hubs (aisin, asco) for mini's crusiers 79+ are all the same. THe zuk aisins are the same except for the collar that goes over the birf. I have a bunch of parts for hubs if needed too. I have a set and would rather not sell just 1 but I can stop at the local yard if needed. See this thread for assembly, etc.

Thanks for the thread! This is very informative, and tells me that the other side is broken too, since it has no clutch attached :)
You said you have a set for sale maybe? That would be much easier for me than having it shipped from wayne...
thanks for the help,
Jan

I allways see in Land Cruisers Heavy Duty ( as yours ) the same aisin hubs golden color. I thought that is the diference between this or Light Duty Land Cruiser hubs .. as LJ-7* that are red .. the same as mini truck, Hi Lux, Surf ( 4 Runner ) or the samy hubs are grey
