Hello everyone!

I'm having troubles with my 86 HJ60.
I pulled the injectors to inspect the nozzles and to check if they were leaking at all. After testing all of them on an injector tester I installed them all back in and torqued them all to spec. After bleeding the injectors it fired up no problem, and for the whole day after that it would start up with no issue. Fast forward to the next morning and she wouldn't start, I had to crack the fuel lines and bleed them at the injectors. Once fuel started spurting out I tightened them all and once again it would start with no issue. The next morning it did the same thing and I had to crack the lines.

Anyone have any idea where to look? It seems to be pulling air in from somewhere inbetween the injectors and the pump but there are no leaks that I can see.

Thanks everyone.

did you re use any copper crush washers, if so either anneal them or replace

not sure what you took apart or your engine particulars...

clearly it was what you took apart...
but i dont know what washers are there on your particular engine.... simple, if reused replace them, if copper anneal them if re using, check clamps and soft lines, primer pumps like to go bad as well..

washers under the injectors against the head dont seal diesel, they seal combustion, so no it isnt them....

Yea I've got a primer pump on order, I've heard of them going bad and being the source of leaks aswell. Thanks!

You must replace at LEAST the spilloff washer, and the injector gasket.. the seat can generally be reused, circled in red, these cannot be reused..

only the aluminum one with two holes seals diesel, the other is combustion seal under the injector
