Hitch receiver installation question (1 Viewer)

Hey there! I just bought a basic Curt hitch receiver for my 2012 GX460. I figured it would be a quick and easy 4 bolt installation. Naturally, I should have taken a look under the truck first because it turns out that my GX seems to be different from all the ones I've come across online (see image). I only have 2 of the 4 threaded holes I was expecting. I'm coming up short in my internet searches about this. I'm guessing that in a past life, someone removed a plate or something there that would give me my missing 2 weld nuts. Thoughts? Part numbers for missing pieces? Is everything I've found just lying to me and I got the wrong receiver part?

I think you need this part before a hitch can be installed. Would anyone else confirm?

That looks like the brackets I sold with my hitch and by the description is exactly what the PO is missing.

@re_guderian yeah, absolutely! I was happy to see the left that for me.

I’m a bit bummed I might have to drop another $250 on this, but I guess that’s how it goes.
