I usually average about 17.5 MPG with regular driving, but every so often I go through phases where I try to squeeze out the best mileage possible.

On my last tank, I managed to hit 20 MPG. I went 315 miles on the tank with 2.4 gallons of reserve left in the 18 gallon tank. This drive was 75% local and 25%hwy.

The car currently has just over 12,000 miles.

In case anyone’s curious, here’s what it takes to get that kind of mileage, you’ll have to drive like you’re in a semi truck.

Here’s a pic of my cluster and the fill up. Yes, premium gas (93) is cheap in Chattanooga.

Dang, nice job. Meanwhile, I can barely get 200 miles per tank because it stays in sport +. Praying someone solves the extended range tank situation soon.

i've only gotten 19.8mpg so far with 13k miles. Do we expect this to get better? Why is the LX600 getting better for many people?

Also, my tires are almost completely worn on the shoulders and I've had rotations done at 5k and 10k miles. I really think I'll get 15-18k miles out of them. wild.

Same. My tires look like they’re wearing out pretty fast.

I have 275s on mine. Driving in eco mode at 55 mph will get 23-25 mpg. Mostly tho getting around 16 -17 city and 20 higghway . Sport plus oh man very thirsty probably 15 mpg. I have around 3k so far

Yeah, I drive fast everywhere. 15mpg.

And yes, highway speeds got 22mpg on the LX600, but I was getting 14mpg in town with my usual racing back and forth to the hospital. 🏥

The stock tires are very soft; I'll be surprised if people get more than 20k out of them.

Ok. Picked up my 700OT this past Friday out in San Antonio and drove it back to Houston. 190 miles one way. On my way out driving my 200 got 12mpg going roughly 70 to 75mph. On the way back driving in ECO, being gentle and keeping between 65 and 70 mph, got a hair under 20mpg. Drove 197 miles and the computer said I still could go for another 144, I assume without counting the reserve. Could I really potentially drive 350 miles before hitting the reserve? That’s what the computer was saying. Bear in mind this was the first 200 miles on the car. Not bad IMO and I am assuming it will only improve with time.

On a separate note, this thing is amazing and my fears of trading the 200 are all in the past, so far.

Now put 35s on it.

Our 700’s have a 18 gallon fuel tank.

20x18=360 at completely empty.

Congrats on the new rig! It’s been a solid 2 days now, we need a review!
Man, the thing is SOLID. Honestly, even when compared with the 200, I feel it planted the same as the 200, but without that wallowing boat-like feeling. All the rest is just as bank-vault-like, doors and all. The insulation, suspension and NVH is miles away better.

Couple things of note so far.

Like I said above, the mpgs kinda surprised me, since I was used to squeeze at most 260 miles of my 200, after having the refuel light on for a good amount of miles and holding for dear life. 350-360 miles on this is more than enough for my purposes. My butt can't really handle more than that and I have to stop and stretch. I get if you are towing or driving like an F1 car, ok it might drop significantly and justify an aux tank. Not my case so far and I can only imagine this will improve with time.

Another thing is the much-discussed here ICE pop sound in the back. Even having the 2-row, which I suppose has less "stuff" in the back to isolate the sound, I do not find it obnoxious or intrusive. I probably only hear it because I read about it here, and I came back listening to an audio book - not loud music.

The seats, which I read here some found uncomfortable or cramped, fitted me just fine. Didn't take me long to find a position as good as I had in the 200. Though the steering wheel is much smaller - sportier too. Finally, the drive assist features were the main reason I upgraded from the 200 and they did not disappoint. Driving back, I felt maybe half-tired when compared to driving out to SA. Those damn computers practically drove the car back when in the highway and I barely had to touch the pedals. No, it is not a Tesla FSD, but IMO blends just the right amount of assistance with the old schoolness of actually being in control of my car.

I only drove it now for 200 miles and just left it to PPF/ceramic/tint and will keep updating with my impressions. BTW, earth color really surprised me seeing in person. Much better than I thought.

On a side note, the PPF shop gave me a loaner and it is a new Tacoma. It was the first time I drove the Toyota 4 banger turbo that goes into everything these days, including the Prado. It has a good punch, but man it sounds rough like a Diesel. Smoothness be dammed on that vehicle. I find it worse than my wife's VW Cross Atlas that also has a 4 banger.

Thank you! Great to hear. It's funny, I have a Cayenne GTS, it is a race car but no self driving type features. My wife's new X7 has the auto lane centering and self driving...holy s it's amazing to have. The lane centering is funny enough one of the features of the LX that I'm looking forward to the most. Clearly I've become aged because I really really like luxury ride and quiet. Getting mine end of the month, will give a review when I have it

You really get 350-360 miles out of each tank?

I drive so gingerly and can barely squeak 300. 14k miles.

Not yet, because my trip ended, but, as you can see from my pic above, that was what the computer was saying it would get had I continued in the same pace and driving gingerly. This was the first 200 miles on the truck and why I was so surprised.

Oh, I see now. Hope it continues.

Getting back from my maiden voyage to CO, at 4200 miles got 19.2mpg driving mostly 70 to 80mph in the highway. Improving and hope it keeps getting better. Oh and I have the crossbars in the truck, which probably add a bit of drag and hurt the mpgs.

Around 20 to 30 degrees here in Philadelphia and getting 14-15 mpg. As temp drops mpg goes down
