high -low light switch

Hi, Replacing the high -low light switch in the stalk. What the best tool to release the contacts in the plug? Thanks, Mike

Mike, you may already know this, but the dimmer switch is separate from the stalk. I found that out when the new stalk I ordered got here and I pulled the steering wheel off. Not sure what's wrong with yours, but just cleaning my contacts fixed mine when I thought I'd need a new dimmer switch.

Thanks tried cleaning it with non luck. 20 plus years and its a goner. Mike

according to the FSM, it says to use a "miniature screwdriver"

And with SST crazy Toyota, that say alot...

I'm not sure what that connector looks like, but I've had really good success by using a pick to tease the connectors apart. Most any tool place has them, here's one example of what I'm referring to...
