I've searched.....many times. I've googled.....many times. I want to replace my entire headlight assemblies on 06 LX with HID. Not just the bulbs, but the whole housing. My lenses are cracked on the inside and it bugs the hell out of me.

Everything I'm finding on here has been bulb replacement and or DIY projector bulb stuff. Has anybody replaced the whole housing before with non stock options? I like the look of halo headlights, but everywhere online seems to be into the "tuner" crowd.

What are some reputable name brands I should look for? Where online Can I get a good set of HID headlight housings?

Again my issue is the fact that my lenses are cracked on the inside. I'm using this as an excuse to upgrade to true HID hosinings with Halo lights if possible.

I think there is only one aftermarket option, offered in chrome and black under a few names. Depo doesn't make a factory replacement

I wouldn't wire up the halos or little running lights because they look really ricey IMO and have failed. I cant find output shot of these aftermarket housings, but most of them have crappy projectors but it would probably be easy to swap in a real HID projector like a morimoto H1 projector from TRS.

Your other option is to buy factory replacements. I cant verify if the 98-02 glass lensed LX lights are direct swaps for the 03-07 plastic LX lights, but I assume its a easy swap

Well before I did my total complete retrofit. I installed the morimoto h1 hid kit with the tsx-r clear lens. It was better than stock. Nice & bright. Only downfall to the kit is you lose your light in the rain

His problem is the plastic lenses are cracked and messed up on the inside and have to be replaced. I've seen this on every 03-07 LX I've looked at. I always upgrade the lights because I have horrible night vision from having lasik and spend a lot of time on rural roads at night.

I prefer the stock lights, so I may try to swap the glass lenses off the 98-02 LX housings for the plastic ones if it can make them fit. From what I've found the lense material is the only difference in the two housing types. I would probably just do the clear lense upgrade to use the trs h1 stuff I took out of my last truck, although the SC430 projector swap would be down the road.

If I cant find any early housings and have to buy the aftermarket housings, I would want to replace the aftermarket crappy projector in the aftermarket housing itself with the morimoto mini h1 projector (since I already have a set in the garage)

This is the best option for you guys with the 100 series landcruiser. & should seriously consider this upgrade. It's way better than any kit, I mean ANY KIT you put in you landcruiser. The LS430 projectors have the WIDEST beam pattern over any projectors on the market today. Oem or aftermarket, nothing's wider.

The projectors out the Honda S2000 is exactly the same as the SC430 projectors. & you can find them anywhere online. Same width, easily put light across 7 to 8 lanes.

The s2000 projectors are the best low beams. The plastic lense on the housings is the big issue first though. Replace the lense, buy new or used OEM housing or aftermarket housings. He has to start from there and then upgrade the projectors.

you could always buy a nice used set of headlights from eBay and retrofit them with the SC430 or your choice of projectors.

I do not want to retro fit anything. I'm looking for a complete replacement of the headlight assembly. Since my lenses are cracked on the inside, this is a good excuse to upgrade to something that is brighter. My night vision isn't great since lasik either, and yellow bulbs inside cracked lenses isn't making it any better.

Looking online, stock replacements are as much if not more than an entire HID set will cost. I just don't know which HID assembly to go with.

How did those projector headlights work out? Plug and play?
