Basically as the title suggests. Anyone have any recommendations for upgraded bulb options to increase output in the 2013-2015 headlight housing? As much as I love this truck, the factory headlight output leaves quite a bit to be desired. I have heard of folks picking up some Phillips bulbs, but haven't heard if it was worth while. TIA

Check out this build. I just bought a set talked about here for high beams.

Replaced OEM HID with Phillips E-TremeVision HID, replaced the halogen daytime running lights / hi-beams to Hikari Ultra LED, and replaced the halogen fog lights with Phillips Ultinon. For the fogs I left the yellow sleeve on for now, but if I take it off they are 6000k to match the color of the rest.

How would you compare the output on the low beams to the stock bulbs? I already have an LED highbeam that I am happy with and I plan on doing a set of Bajadesign SAE yellow fogs.

It looks like you used Phillips Xtreme Vission as well for your low beams? How would you stack them up against the stock bulbs?

If you are referring to me, this isn't my build thread. But after reading through it, I did just purchase a set of Hikari's for my high beams and will probably get a set of Phillips for low beams.

I’m very happy with all lights / bulbs I mentioned. Yes, my low beams are improved. Totally satisfied. While the bajadesign dogs are likely much better than the ones I selected, mine are a huge improvement over The stock halogen fogs and an extremely easy swap, so very worth it for me!

Cool. where did you get them?

Geez, I remember when the John Deere head light upgrade was 8 bucks each.

They are easy to replace, but if you've never done it before, maybe wach a video or three? One tip: it is critical that you not get oil from your skin on the glass part of the bulb.

When I had my '13, I used Morimoto replacement bulbs.

Any links to how to replace HID for 2013-2015? Or does anyone has a copy of service manual for changing low beam?

Pull off caps, unclip retaining ring, remove bulb. Start on passenger side so you understand the mechanism and can see what you're doing. Repeat for drivers side.
