I have a hi-lift that is a few years old with almost no use. When I first got it, it would work fine for misc stuff around the house and just practice situations. I would spray it with WD-40 every now and then and before every use. Recently it sat in my garage for about a year before I used it a few weeks ago and it climbed up fine but would not climb down when I flipped the switch. I have sprayed it down a few times with different things and it will still only go up till the load is taken off. For those with more experience with these things which part should I check or is this going to need a full tear down, clean/lube and rebuild?
