I am machining a custom output shaft for my NV4500 5 speed transmission to work with the HF2AV Toyota transfer case. The machinist would like the HF2AV input gear from the transfer case so he can machine the 19 splines perfectly.

I cannot find the replacement PN for the Toyota HF2AV input gear. Does anyone know it?

I ordered Toyota PN 36212-60100 but that gear is incorrect. It has too many splines and is way too large. Am I missing something?

Alternatively, is the replacement input gear on a split case 60 series similar? In other words, would it work for the purposes of machining the splines on the NV4500 output shaft? https://www.cruiserbrothers.com/product/modified-tc-input-gear-19-spline-mainshaft-36212-mod32/

pretty sure that is the correct gear. I have one laying around in my garage I can get to tonight. I'm sure some other parts wizard knows the answer off the top of their head though....

The HF2AV has an input shaft that adapts the transmission input to the transfer gear.

You have the correct gear. You need the input shaft 36211-60030.

The shaft identified by beno is item # 36211 in this diagram:
