I wanted to wait until this was done to post. @Eric Sarjeant just created what I will call a Heritage Edition+ for me.

He took a regular LC base with black interior and did the following:
  • Added Heritage grill
  • Had headlights blackened like Heritage edition
  • Took OEM FJ40 emblem (identical to Heritage but required a lot of work) and added to D pillar.
  • Removed door chrome strips, filled holes, and painted.
  • Powder coated Heritage wheels matte silver and painted Heritage center caps silver.
Here are some pics of the finished truck and the process.

I really think it came out great. I got exactly what I wanted. I have the cool box, third row, and semi-aniline leather, but I got the clean lines of the Heritage. I did not want the bronze wheels, and I think they look great in silver.

Hope you all like.

EDIT: Here is the video @Eric Sarjeant made of the build:

(p.s. @Eric Sarjeant did just build me a white LC recently as some of you may recall. It is lifted and I am unable to get in a few key parking garages. It is also a bit over the top for my profession. I love it though. I decided to trade it back to him for this truck. He gave me a fair price on the trade and built me exactly what I wanted. I would respectfully ask that you keep the replies on this thread to the new truck instead of asking me why in the heck I built a truck only to get a new one a month later. My wife has already asked me that enough times).

Anyway, Eric is the man and his attention to detail and service is second to none. Still waiting on truck to be tinted and have Xpel applied. I expect to get it in a few days.

I will NOT be trading this one ANY time soon. This makes my 7th 200. I have officially lost my mind.

Oh i like it. More tame...and probably more in tune with your profession.

So, he took the bronze Heritage rims and painted it silver?

What is the interior color?

Congrats, DNH! I remember your black 09 LX that you repainted. It served as inspiration for me on my first 2010 200. I'm now on my third 200 series myself. May I ask what field you're in? I sometimes wonder if I should take my off-road wheels/tires and throw on the factory 20" for a more polished appearance, but at the end of the day, I don't think it'll matter much in my case!

Interior is black. Eric powder coated the black bbs wheels matte silver. Then hand painted the TOYOTA caps to match.

Lawyer. 🤷🏽‍♂️

It's funny I was worried that I would miss the cool box my 17 had but I have to say that I like the HE console sooooooooo much better.
With three large storage compartments it has made the need to stuff things in my visors and door go away. Also it sure seems like the leather is a lot more durable.

I understand. I know my wife never uses the cool box in her LX and would rather have storage. I use the cool box all the time.

I like the leather on both. I’m not knocking the Heritage. I love it. That’s why I tried to make one.

It is great what you've done, and I hope you enjoy it immensely! Nice truck.

I think of it more like it pays homage to the heritage, or is what you would have done if you were to design the heritage edition. Fun stuff.

The wheels look great like that.

Not sure what tire size you have with the Nitto. BUT, if it is not stock size, then make sure that your spare tire is of the SAME size. And it does not have to be Nitto, it could be any cheap brand, but make sure same size (diameter).

285/65/R18. Yes will have same size on spare.

Looks great!

As a point of interest. When we had all of the pre-production prototypes and a few production Heritage Editions at the shop for the Heritage Edition launch, @bryson and I carefully compared the Heritage "Land Cruiser" badge with that of the earlier Land Cruisers. While the threaded bungs on the back of the emblem are an obvious difference, there are a few minor differences with the lettering and black texturing in between too. Close enough from 1' away :D
