My 60 did not want to fire up this morning so I can go to work. Good thing all I had to do was go to PT early and go home, so I took my wife's car. But after I got home and pulled out the haynes manual and read up on the situation, to check fuel, did that all good. To see if I have spark, nope. Then to check if power was getting to the ignitor on the coil and yes there is power. But how do I go about really checking to see if it is the ignitor like the book says. I don't have the money to buy a new one for about 250 bucks. I am trying to find one at any junk yards around augusta ga. but so far no luck. If this is really the problem, does anyone have a spare they don't need or want to sell to me. Thanks Jason

I had one of these poop out on me in the middle of Canyonlands in July. It was my Toyota truck, not the LC. You could have a bad coil or ignitor or pickup coil in the distributor, but experience says ignitor unit. If you can pick up an MSD it essentially replaces the ignitor unit and might be a less expensive way to go plus a performance enhancement.

Thanks I will check that out. SOR wants 403 bucks for a new one and a used one 100. Advance auto wants 250 bucks. I will check out MSD ignition system, Thanks
