Could you please share how you kept the rear shock from spinning when loosening the 22mm nut that holds it to the frame?

I've tried a strap wrench and a pipe wrench, but neither kept the body from spinning.

Assuming there's an Allen key fitting on the end, has anyone used it to keep the shock from spinning?

Thanks!

I can’t 100% confirm the size until I get back to my tools tomorrow but I used a ~2” fan clutch wrench on the flats toward the top of the dust/splash guard.

I’m not certain that there is an Allen opening on the end of the shock shaft but I’m pretty sure it would just strip anyway. I don’t really have corrosion but the bolts were quite tight.

Thank you - I would not have even seen the flats otherwise!

You’re welcome.

Your pipe wrench will probably work on those preventing you having to wait for the fan clutch wrench. Either way I’ll try to get the dimension in case anyone reads this thread later.
