Hey everyone,

Hoping someone can lend a hand with a weird lighting issue I'm running into.

I recently upgraded all my front lights (low beams, high beams, and fog lights) to LED. Everything went smoothly except for the driver's side fog light – it just refuses to turn on with the LED bulb.

Here's the strange part: if I pop the old incandescent bulb back in, the driver's side fog light works perfectly fine. I know the LED bulb itself isn't the problem because it lights up without any issues on the passenger side.

Has anyone else experienced something similar or have any ideas what might be going on? Could it be a compatibility thing, or is there something else I should be checking?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Dang hate you are having trouble. I recently just replaced mine as well and thankfully no issues like this! Did you try the new LED bulb from the passenger side? I have heard of things like this in the past but bulbs are getting way better. Sounds like it may be a bulb problem! Hope you figure it out! Which brand bulbs if you don’t mind me asking??

Sounds like a downgrade if it doesnt light up. ;)

Do you have an LC or an LX?

Yea I tried swapping the bulb to the other side and it worked.
Could be a bulb issue. These are just cheap eBay bulbs. I don't mind buying more expensive ones I just want to ensure that they will work.

I wonder if your drivers side fog light has the polarity swapped and that's why the LED won't come on.
The incandesent bulbs just need current, they don't care about polarity but LED does.
Can you install the bulb with the contacts in the opposite direction and see what happens?

When I tried cheap LED bulbs in the fogs, they gave literally zero light output. Sure, they looked like neat yellow bulbs when looking at the vehicle, but they put off nothing when driving in adverse conditions. Sticking with real halogens was a game changer.

I will give it a shot

I don't mind sticking with real halogens, as long as I get better light output. The reason I bought the LED's to begin with is because the light output was abysmal. But if you have a recommendation on headlight bulbs and fogs that are bright enough to see at night I am all ears. I believe there is a guy that is considered an expert on this I just cant remember his name or link to his site.

Thanks
