OK -- since owning the FJ now for a few weeks I've found a few things that baffle me a little. Probably old news to those who have been in the mix with the 40's for a while.
Here's what I have:
1974 FJ40 Chassis ID - FJ40176913
4 speed transmission
Engine with oil filter on the passenger side of the block - #F547682 (i thought it was a 2F due to the late in the year manuf date (JUN 1974)
So I have a 1974 with a F engine (or 1.5 maybe)? what are the pros and cons?
I think I read somewhere that 4 speed was an option?
I does have the weber carb on it that I plan to change with a Troll hole carb once I get a grip on what I need and what I have!
