2015. I cant get over the flimsy knobs and switches in the 2016+. Really feels like a cost accountant touched it.

I would opt for the 2017. Mileage is the least of your concern with a Land Cruiser and what kills these machines is time (rubber degradation\leaks) and rust. The 16+ have much needed improvements and quite arguably much better looks (hood buldges and led taillights set the car apart from your average SUV).
Interesting statement. I can afford to buy what I want. When i bought my 15 new it was late in the model year and they already had 16s available. I chose to buy a 15 because, while I liked the new front fascia, i really did not like the new dash design. The knobs and buttons feel flimsy. It just did not have the solid feel I expected from a Land Cruiser. So I bought the 15 and have been happy with my choice.Anyone telling you the 15 is a better value than a 16+ is coping with their previous purchase.
Choose wisely and just get the 17 and be done with it.
Well... in the OPs case, how could anyone suggest to buy the 2015 at that price point?Interesting statement. I can afford to buy what I want. Everyone looks for certain things in a vehicle. My choice may be different than yours. But I wasn’t ‘coping’ in any way, shape, or form.

Seems like bad advice given their "value" is about $10k below the listing.
I looked at a 15 before I had made my purchase and it was a fine vehicle.
Really comes down to what makes YOU happy.
Other than the introduction of Safety Sense P and the 8 speed transmission, not much changed beyond appearance. Some people like the older 6 speed transmission (me for sure) and others like the 8 speed (with reprogramming). Having the latest Safety Sense P is nice as it added lane departure and other features. And if we are going to list the quirks with the 16+ then atleast for OPs sake, equally list the quirks for the older models as well.
If you're like @stonepa and don't enjoy a heated steering wheel in the winter, cooled seats in the summer, and the much better aesthetics of the 16+s, then buy the 2015.![]()
Yep. Goes for any vehicle. That and “barn find.”I am bias because i own a 2019……..but anytime I hear……ultra low mileage, owned by some old rich lady, and has impeccable service history……it makes me drool…..
Not surprising...I just did a quick search on cars.com / autotrader / cargurus nationwide listings - I don't see a single 2015 with sub-30k miles for $10k below OPs listing... all are right around or above what OP is being quoted.
P.S. I'm biased and bought a '16 in '16. Sounds silly but I really wanted the LED lights and improved interior!I think the mileage difference is immaterial on a LC designed to go 500K. I'd opt for the newer model for some of the aforementioned reasons.... improved gearbox, improved interior and LED front lights. I do like the more "vintage" look of the older LCs, but the improvements to the newer model take the cake for me.
Not surprising...
It's a freaking 9 year old vehicle with less than 30K AND a Land cruiser to boot!
