Went for a nice back trails drive this morning. I was airing up on the way out, and noticed the fill up slow after the first tire. When I was on the third, the compressor stopped working. I checked the fuses and both had blown. I suspect one blew after the first tire which is why it slowed.

Has anyone run into this or have any thoughts on what to look at. ARB dual compressor hooked up to power through a blue sea SaftyHub 150 and a Switch Pro 9100.

I guess I’ll bring my portable compressor as a backup next time.

used my ARB to pump up rv tires first two ok the third slowed the pump so i changed to main battery and found the neg clamp was red hot to touch aux battery rat s*** it also blew fuses engine light came on lost gauges sunroof rear view camera plus gearbox selinoids changed every fuse and it came back to life one of my problems was a corroded fuse box

Hood was open, but it was 100 degrees out. The pump was pretty hot when I felt it. I’ll try again in the garage when i get the replacement midi fuses I ordered.

Well, I deflated all 4 tires to about 15psi, then pumped them up in sequence with the ARB without an issue. All of the power/neg cables to the blue sea and the ARB were not hot. The surface temp on the compressor was about 225, but the outside air temp was only 85, and the engine had not been running. I'll give it a try on the trail another day, but if it happens again, I might try a high-speed portable fan. I would prefer not to wait between tires...speed was one of the main reasons I got the compressor.
