My rig sounds like a tea pot. When it is cold it is pretty quiet.

But after it warms up the idle is a bit rough, and it sounds like I am driving a Tea Pot. The crappy part is by the time I park get out and raise the hood the tea pot sound has gone. So its been a pain in the butt to find.

Any suggestions about how or where to look for this leak? I am guessing its a vacuum leak, a vacuum hose diagram may help me. My FSM is on its way but probably wont be here this weekend.

Do a search for "whistle" or similar. I know others have had an issue with plastic cnipples breaking of fittings. Are you sure it isn't a bearing whine?

The easiest way to find vacum leaks is with a can of ethur. Just spray a LITTLE while the engine is running her and there and when the engine rpm picks up you know your in the right area.
