Can anyone help diagnose or point me in the right direction for a weird noise the mechanic hasn’t heard before? Usually happens immediately after moving forward after the car starts up.

Moly grease in the knuckles basically as often as I think about it, definitely every oil change, moly on the drive shaft slip joints, non moly for the needle bearings in the dog bones so they don’t slide, axle and birf rebuild 15k ago, thanks for the reply, but it’s not a mechanical grinding/rubbing/growling which has been part of the confusion problem with diagnosis. Thanks again.@ski4run "I grease the drive shafts every oil change"
Do you grease the U-joints and slip yolks?
How often do you add Moly fortified grease to the steering knuckles?
Do the front axle swivel balls look dry, rusty?
Dry spindle bushings can cause a noise, usually a low rumble IME. It begins with the first drive of the day for a mile or less, then it gets worse the longer the vehicle is driven with dry knuckles/bushings. The spindle bushings (and CV joints) get their lubrication from the grease inside the knuckle cavities so important to keep them ~2/3-3/4 full.
Dry wheel bearings IME can make a sorta whirring noise if loose/dry
Just some random thoughts.
Good idea about recording in the engine bay, I’ll work on that next. Thanks for the help.Try putting your phone beside the ABS module, set up to record as you move off.
Kernal has given you a good list.
When i first had my first landcruiser, wheel bearings made noise in the first seconds of movement. They where dry AF
100% agree, your sound bite is way to short to filter anything from background noise. It all just sounds like white noise
A 10-15 second lead in to the video before the noise gives ears a chance to know what the basic background noises are so you can hear a change
