I have been into so many tasks with this 62 lately I forgot what way to hook up this dryer. I have searched w/ no luck.
thanks.

The dryer brackets bolt through the fan shroud using the fan shroud bolts. If this does not make sense I can take pictures...

The actual lines go through the compressor. I'll check and take pics after work. Now you have me wondering.

If I understand your question, this might help.

The silver canister has two ports, the one marked 'IN' gets attached to the line running to the condenser. This is the line coming from the raditor area.

The other port attaches to the line running thru the firewall.

Where do the two lines exiting the compressor go then?

The larger diameter hose (coming off the port marked "S") goes back to the large fitting at the firewall. The smaller hose (from the port marked "D") goes up thru the core support to the condenser fitting at the top of the condenser. Put on new o-rings.

John I think you are in the right direction. I now have an aftermarket dryer and forgot which line went to the "in" port. If I understand you correctly, the line coming from the condenser is attached to the "in" port?
If in fact you are correct (and you are) I will have no problem finding where the line from the firewall is going to attach.
I just didn't want to learn by error.
yes all new O rings Thanks Guys

Concord, you should be good to go. How I described the ports etc. is how it is on my '89 fj62.
