Sorry to load in such a basic question but I’m trying to figure out the correct way to remove the cargo area panels on my rig. The FSM has info on front and back doors plus rear hatch but nothing on the side panels.
I figure the trick has to be the removal of the speakers but my brain is in cruiser lock from all my projects this weekend and I can’t figure it out.
Any assistance appreciated.

Plastic fasteners hold on all the panels. The driver's front for example requires the door handle trim to be removed first (1 screw), rear doors require removal of the large grab handle (2 large screws), and rear quarter panels require removal of the speaker main guard and the second speaker support behind it. Take your time and look for the pieces.

The links below are examples of tools and things used but not the exact things you need.

Got them off. I didn’t realize that to remove the speaker the grill comes off and then you have to pop off (or take a small screw driver and encourage) the grill/valence. Once that was off the speaker screws were visible and the rest made sense.
Cheers.

can you post some pics of your truck w/ the panels removed?
I am interested in seeing how the speakers are supposed to be mounted.

Here you go:
Photos at end of note...
1. Remove outer speaker grill 4 screws
2. Pull off speaker mesh grill/valence. I fount pushing up from the bottom works or use a screw driver to pry it off
3. Remove screws holding speaker in, pull out and disconnect wiring harness
4. Starting at the rear carefully pot the cargo panel off one connector at a time until the rear half of the cargo panel is loose
5. Remove second row door sill protector
6. Lift up/peel off the rubber door seam seal until is is above the level of the cargo panel.
7. Carefully pop off the panel starting at the rear seat toward the back of the vehicle.

The white component you can see on the back of the panel a couple of times, and can see inserted in a couple of the holes in the sheet metal are the 'female' of the connection. The black male component has the double head that slides into the keyholes on the panel. Sometimes when removing the panel, the female comes out of the sheet metal, stuck on the male.

As I typed this, I know it is ripe for comments from the peanut gallery...fire away.
