Hey! I’m a new LX470 owner that I found and bought here in El Paso, TX.

I’m experiencing a brake issue that I can’t seem to figure out and would love some help with.

I have the ABS LIGHT ON and check engine light on. I’ve replaced all 4 rotors, 4 calipers, ABS motor, and all fuses and relays related to the ABS/ brakes.

I’ve tried to bleed brakes and try to get some pressure going but the ABS Motor doesn’t come on and I can’t seem to get pressure to any of the calipers.

Could it be the ABS ECU or the master cylinder? Those are the last two pieces I’ve got left to replace… I have no idea what else to try, can some one please help!?

Did you test the connection at the pump motor for power? If the motor isn’t getting power, then it won’t run, which will prevent pressure from building in the system.

No, didn’t check, would that just be the terminals on the master cylinder itself? What would be the following steps if it isn’t receiving power?

Hey Gus, good luck with cruiser. Search and study for the master cylinder threads, there are at least 2 excellent ones that will help you diagnose and repair.

I’m having a similar issue with 02 Lx470.
I removed the abs booster motor to see if it was working. The relays kick on an off and send power to the motor. It runs then cuts off with each cycle of the relays.
Was a weird occurrence, truck was low on fuel and gas light came on. 30 sec later abs lights all came on an alarm. Still had brakes.
Took home an replaced gas cap with factory new new an disconnected battery for an hour.
Took it for a drive and then brakes went out. Alarm still sounding an no power brakes.
Put a reman abs motor in an that did not work. No codes on my obd reader.
The low gas thing has really worked my brain as to how that triggered the issue or just a cosmic coincidence.
Since a bad gas cap can trigger the abs lights an alarm I was wondering if it was a vacuum line or computer ecu or abs need resetting or replacing.
