I no longer get the cold engine cold morning roar to life from my '94. It's more a too low idle barely waking type of meow.
I'm trying to understand the operation of the throttle opener, or "dashpot" as it is called in the FSM.
Along with testing the TPS to see if it's still operating properly, I have a few questions...
My questions:
I'm trying to understand the operation of the throttle opener, or "dashpot" as it is called in the FSM.
Along with testing the TPS to see if it's still operating properly, I have a few questions...
My questions:
- What does applying vacuum to the dashpot do? Does it extend the dashpot plunger or retract the dashpot plunger?
- Does the TPS control the extension or retraction of the dashpot with vacuum control?
Thanks!
