Help me choose my skid configuration.

I went with stage 3 aluminum skids. My thinking on that was if I start seeing galling or places I have taken strong hits on the transfer case/tranny section, then I could replace one section with steel. I am having trouble remembering....but I may have ordered one section in steel from the beginning.
For a while I briefly considered aluminum sliders but decided this was one point I wanted to be sure and have zero flex. Now I need to get off my butt and get the rest of my armor..... rear shock protection.
Haven't regretted my choices yet. Definitely like knowing my sliders can take a serious hit. I also have a 40 gallon auxiliary tank I need to cut some armor for. I was extremely surprised at how high it tucked up.

Any sense of your current truck weight when on the trail? Any future plans with respect to vehicle weight?

The truck is stock except for the "standard" RW/KO2 combo. Our gear doesn't weigh a ton so she drives pretty light. I'm not really sure where she's headed. I feel like I want full armor (sliders, skids, and bumpers) and a mild lift, but all the other stuff (roof rack, drawers, RTT) is still up in the air. I live in Seattle where the roads are tight and parking garages are low so I can't turn her into a beast while she's my DD.

I think that's where I'm heading. I'm going to add some aluminum and inspect it every time I have it on a lift to see how she fares.
